I've been in here 5 or 6 times to eat and for carry out. The food is the best Mexican around. Rosa, the bartender, is friendly and efficient. The guacamole is always fresh. The rice is light and fluffy. The special margaritas are tasty. Prices are reasonable. Stop in Tuesdays for hard shell taco dinner for $8!

I really enjoyed this place! I liked the art on the back of the chairs and the entire vibe of the restaurant. I also enjoyed the strawberry daiquiri I got that add whipped cream on it!! The enchiladas a la Mexicana was also delish!

No idea how his place has such low stars. The food is so good! Ok... the service and ambiance are just ok but the food has so much flavor, always hot, and is a great portion. My husband and I always split the chicken and steak fajitas. Their guac, queso, chips, salsa, rice, and beans are all so so good.

Tonight, we ventured to a new Mexican spot in town. Despite the bustling atmosphere, we managed to snag a table. Service was a bit slow, likely due to the crowd, and it took some time for tables to clear. We kicked things off with drinks and chips and salsa. The drinks were a highlight: the margarita flight offered a delightful variety of flavors, and the sangria was a fruity wine delight. The food itself arrived piping hot, which might explain the wait. Thankfully, the wait was worth it - the flavors and spice level were perfect. The one downside was the noise level. With a packed house, conversation was a bit challenging. However, the vibrant decor, with its beautiful colors, created a truly enjoyable dining ambiance. Overall, it was a great experience. We definitely would go back!

We drove by this place several times and decided to try it out. We have been back a few times and really loved it. I went to junior high, high school, and undergrad in southeastern Arizona; so I love Mexican food. The folks here are friendly and the service is good. We've never had to wait long to put in orders or get our drinks and food. I usually get a house margarita, which is great. For dinner, I vary between enchiladas and chimichangas; both of which I love. I am also so happy to see they have tres leches cake. I have not seen that in other Mexican restaurants in Michigan. I used to get them from a small bakery in Spanish Harlem. It is one of my favorite desserts, and Camelia's makes a great one. I am eager to try their brunch sometime.

Cute little spot in Madison Heights. Cozy. Welcoming. Fast service. Drink menu is awesome. Full bar. Lots of authentic food options as well. Menudo, mole, shrimp cocktail, fajitas, and the best birria tacos. The chips and salsa tasted home made. Overall the food was amazing. I was full and wanted to try the entire menu. The price was doable as well. Will return.

I went to Camelia's the second time last night & can honestly say I thought the food was better this time than my first. The queso had a GREAT consistency and a good flavor to it. Not bland, but not spicy. I ordered the house passion fruit margarita & enjoy the taste of that, as well. My entree was the taco platter & it wasn't anything exciting, but I did enjoy it. Overall, the service wasn't anything to complain about. I really appreciated being asked if I was done with my meal once before the plate was taken away. The second time, she asked if I wanted it boxed up. Super attentive in my opinion!
